Hello,
Today I went to church and as it was fast and testimony Sunday it was the perfect time to come back. I heard so many people's testimonies on when they went to camp for the week and on the testimony meetings they talked about how strong they felt the holy spirit and how made them want to stand back up and have that feeling again.
I did actually get quite emotional (which is unusual for me) when they bore there own, it made me realise that I need to get up there and bear mine on the next meeting (which I will do by the way). Some were talking about how Heavenly Father helped them receive the answers that they were looking for and how he helped to cure their sick friends or family members. And it made me realise that I have a family, and they love me and support me in the church.
I am so thankful to have my family around me at this stage, and most definitely my brothers and sisters from church around me. I feel so lucky and happy that I am apart of God's plan for this earth and that I can help other people come to realise that The Atonement of Jesus Christ is important to have in your life because without it you can't feel the blessings that you receive without it, it is the only way to come back to Christ and father in heaven.
I have learnt so much about different people and how important heavenly father and Jesus Christ is in peoples lives and why they choose to accept the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I can tell you that the Book Of Mormon is the true word of God and that Jesus is the Christ and light of the world that leads the way in our lives, that we can all have eternal life after we die. And that we can be resurrected when Christ comes to claim his rightful place on earth. I know that we have a modern day Prophet Thomas S. Monson and that he does have the Latter Day revelation from God, that his counsellors and that the apostles on this earth today also have revelation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that we are in the true church of Christ. The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints! I love the gospel and for those who choose to accept it I can promise that you will feel the love of the Holy Ghost and the blessings that come with the Gospel of Christ in your life.
I say this in the name of Jesus Christ.Amen.

How Christ has changed my life....

Receiving Revelation through the light of Christ
Hey Ho,
Last one for a while, I feel that I should write something again today. I was watching some videos about the light of Christ and Receiving Revelation from the Holy Ghost and some of the things that Elder Bednar said in them are really touching so I am going to share some things that directly stood out to me..
1. Power of the Holy Ghost : he reminds us to read our scriptures, keeps us calm and lets us know he is with us, to ask him to feel his spirit you must ask and pray to heavenly father to be able to do that. Talk to the lord on your knees, he answers through the scriptures (which I know for sure is true!) he decides when we should have revelation on the things that we have studied or feel that we want to know the revelation of its truth.
2. Patterns of Light - (this was one of my favourite ones today) light can over rule darkness, darkness can never over rule light, Jesus Christ is the light of the world, A light that is endless, that can never be darkened! An illumination of all aspects our lives, follow the light that Christ gives us!
3. The light of Christ - Influence of God that pulls us to do the righteous things in our lives, follow the Gospel ordinances, be obedient to the Lords commandments, Influence to be good and to do good.
These are just some of the things that I felt I should share with you, because it is amazing to listen to the Quorum of the twelve apostles speaking and know how much Christ has given them a light in their lives and
how they have followed it and have gained so much blessings from doing so.
I testify to you that the Holy Ghost does work in mysterious and wonderful ways that we may or may not know of, but when we do know of it, listen to it don't ignore what he is trying to tell you! Just follow and I promise you now that you won't be let down by your Heavenly Father or your Savior Jesus Christ!!
I say these things humbly in the name of Jesus Christ.Amen!!

The Truthfulness of The Book Of Mormon
How the Book Of Mormon Changed my life!!
Hello it's me again!
another new blog I know second one today. And this one means quite a lot to me actually, because it's about the Book Of Mormon and how important it is in my life.
When I first started to read the Book Of Mormon it was quite hard to understand because in some ways I found it hard to understand what everything meant. But after a couple of weeks I finally got the hang of reading it properly and how well it can change your life from being boring to being happy and joyful from reading what the older prophets like Nephi, Alma, Ether, Mormon, Moroni said and how important it was for them to obey the Lord their God.
Just reading how many trials and tribulations they actually went through to get to where they were is amazing to me. The fact that they were able to have so much faith in God and he was able to help them with the things that they need to do.
Here is a scripture that I found earlier in
1 Nephi 1:19 - 20 - And it came to pass that the Lord spake unto me, saying; blessed art thou, Nephi, because of thy faith, for thou hast sought me diligently, with lowliness of heart.
And inasmuch as ye shall keep my commandments, ye shall prosper, and shall be led to a land of per, and shall be led to a land of promise; yea, even a land which I have prepared for you; yea, a land which is choice above all other lands!!
These verse's are so truthful and powerful that anyone who is just starting out in the Book Of Mormon for the first time should pray and ask Heavenly Father if they are true and that if Nephi and his family was lead to the promised land that they were promised by the Lord their God.
When I first met Elder Polo and Elder Giusti it was quite nerve racking for me to actually go into the Gospel Principles class and start officially learning about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how important everything is in this life that our father in heaven has given us!
And one of the best promises that God says to us is that we can have eternal life as long as we keep our promise to him (baptismal covenants) that if we obey the commandments he has given us to protect us and be obedient to the Gospel Ordinances we can have that after we die and return to him.
One question that I ask you who do read this post is : What have you prayed to Heavenly Father about when you needed an answer to a question you needed?
and how have you found that heavenly father has helped you when you have found things hard in life and needed to turn to him for help?
I am thankful for the Book Of Mormon, and how it has helped me realise without it in my life, I wouldn't be the person that I am now.. And I can tell you that the blessings that you receive from the Gospel are true and that the Holy Ghost will testify of it to you once you have prayed about it!!
I am thankful for the first missionaries that I met and they are Rory Polo and Lorenzo Giusti. Without the lessons from them and the support they gave to me I wouldn't be here without it, so THANK YOU GUYS, YOUR AWESOME!!
I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

The Spirit of Elijah compared with the learning and understanding of missionary work along with our Savior Jesus Christ and Prophet Joseph Smith
Hello Everyone who follows and likes my posts.
Last night and today I have started to study the scriptures in quite some depth and also using the preach my gospel a long side it. I have learnt so many new things on how it is important to invite people to come unto Christ, how important faith is. How hope can lead us all in the right direction to go in, for enduring to the end.
At this moment as I am writing this post I am learning about The Spirit Of Elijah. And learnt that he is a manifestation of the Holy Ghost bearing witness of the amazing nature of the family. And how special it is to have your family living the Gospel and being able to sit down together and study, even learn about the teachings of Christ and having the Holy Ghost and the spirit of Elijah bearing witness of it upon you at such times.
And that we have the Book Of Mormon on this earth and it is the greatest gift ever that God has actually given us, to know the truth from when Joseph Smith decided to go down into the sacred grove and kneel down and pray, and being told that he is the prophet of the Lord and that he had such an important work to do on this earth and bring back the true church of Jesus Christ on this earth once again.
That church is known as The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, and for me knowing that Joseph Smith listened to Heavenly Father at that time he did and chose to do what the Lord wanted is an amazing sacrifice he gave, he could have ignored the Lord and went about his own ways, but because of the caring nature of Joseph smith he didn't. He decided to listen and help restore Christ's church back on earth at that time. Being able to get the gift to be able to translate the Book Of Mormon into English was amazing, even though it took a while he completed the task that God gave him.
To me Joseph showed great and utter faith in Christ and God, so that he could know the truth of what he wanted and how he had to do it in this life. I am so thankful for Prophet Joseph Smith, I know that he was the true Prophet of Christ and that he had the strength to over come his trials that he faced and he kept going on with the support of his wife and family behind him.
I have also learnt more about missionary work and how important of a role it is in Christ's church and how he wants us to either give up 18 months or 2 years of our lives to go out and serve him the way he served us at the time of his reign when he was in Jerusalem at his time. And that the Atonement he did for us is a great blessing, he didn't again have to do this but he did because it was what he was supposed to do, he wasn't scared to do that, he knew the Lord loved him and that he loved his father and things would be al-right.
I wish I had that strength and faith that my savior had, But I don't yet that is why I am studying the gospel and learning new things every time I sit down and pray, read and study the preach my gospel and the scriptures a long side each other.
I know its a long post, But I felt that I needed to share this with people :)... I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I had writing it today..

Open the flood gates to your heart for the holy ghost to enter!!
Hello,
Hope all of you are doing well, and that things are going well for most of you.. Things are picking up well for me with studying finally!! YAY! But other than that family life is fun also visiting my sister, it's been fun and her boyfriend Adam (such a funny guy, but crazy in a good way ha-ha)..
I have found that if things also get tough in times of need you can go to a local wildlife rescue group or reptile group and volunteer there and I find that works really well. I enjoy being around reptiles, I love snakes, Meerkats, Iguanas, and surprisingly tarantulas, stick insects and giant African land snails.. whoop!
I feel so lucky lately with how things are going in life and I know that sounds cheesy but to me its the best place to be in life rather than not being happy.. With the help of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ the best thing that you can do is open your own personal floodgates to your heart to let the Holy Ghost in so that he can do his work that he is here for :)..
The thing that I have learnt to love about the Holy Ghost is that he reveals the truth of scriptures unto our hearts and that for me is one of the greatest gifts we can have from our father in heaven and knowing that we can pray to him and ask for help when we need it and when we feel that we want to learn more about Christ's life and atonement that he did for us..
I am so thankful in 2011 that I felt the way that I did, because if I didn't listen to that warming cuddling feeling around me at the time I would most likely be covered in piercings / tattoos and be off the rails (which isn't fun at all) so I am thankful for the missionaries on-line Elder Ryan Tucker and Zayne Callahan.. I do consider them friends even though we've never met they're my friends and I thank them.
Then there is Lorenzo Giusti and Rory Polo, I am thankful for them putting up with me, because I know that in some ways I was kind of stubborn.. Which is typical of me in a lot of ways, but after putting in the hard work to listen and understand how important it is to have the gospel in my life, its AMAZING..
So thank you !!
Then on the 14 January 2012 I made the decision with the Elders to get baptized and that's one decision that I will NEVER regret doing!!
AMEN..

Things that I have learnt today
Hello,
Let me guess your all most likely thinking, her again? really another blog? haha yep another one..
Well today I have been just doing / watching some church videos on lds.org (an awesome website, really influential)and the things that I have managed to learn is that it's better being cheerful, prayerful and that we don't work alone, our families are important and that we should keep an eternal perspective in life!
For me keeping an eternal perspective is a great thing because it gives you a good look at what is to come for us after this life, that we won't die and be forgotten about, we will go back to Heavenly Father and sit in front of Christ our Saviour and be judged for our doings.
That to me is a great promise because it doesn't matter on what we have done, it's the how much we have put in that matters in this life. Everyone won't be forgotten about at all, we will all be back with our families in our second life and be resurrected in our next life.Another promise that we have..
"what things have you prayed for from father in heaven, and how have you received revelation from them?"

The Love Of My Savior Jesus Christ - the long and winding road of trials in life he gives us!!
Hello,
how has everyone been?
It has been a while since my last post and for that I do apologise for not continuing it. It has been very stressful over the last couples months for me and my family, but today I at church I have finally (thank the missionaries and our father in heaven) learnt how true prayer can be and how important it is to communicate to our heavenly father whenever we are feeling upset, discouraged or stranded and don't know what to do with our-selves.
For me the last two nights have been especially hard with things that I cannot put on here or say, but what I can say is that it has been quite emotional and hard to understand why these things have happened to me and my family, for me it is a trial of my loyalty to my father in heaven and to my family and I now know that we must find the strength in ourselves to forgive and forget.
The trial that I have had this past week is weakness and vulnerability for me. But today at church I went with some questions and I have found my answers that I was looking for. To know that I have been praying not for me but for my family also and other people has helped me come to realise that no matter what trial it is, our father in heaven is there for us whenever we need him and I have needed him today, yesterday and the day before and he has been there for me..
I haven't read/studied the scriptures or anything but I have been praying harder and more intently. And today I got to teach my class in primary and I really enjoyed it, I didn't have a lesson planned for anything but heavenly father and my savior were there for me today when I needed him most in my life.
I know that this church is true, that our savior, God's only begotten son does live on, and that he does answer our prayers of help or forgiveness, and I testify that these things are true..
I ask one thing of you for those who do read my posts and who do enjoy them please try and remember the love of the saviour and how he can help you in time of troubles..
Amen..
